CSKA’s wantaway forward Vagner Love is remaining in Brazil as he attempts to push through a move to Flamengo.

The Brazilian international was supposed to return to Russia on Tuesday to resume training with the Moscow-based club but, according to Globoesporte.com, he has instead opted to stay in Rio.

Flamengo have thus far been frustrated in their attempts to re-sign a player who spent eight months on loan with the club in 2010.

The Brazilian side offered €6.2 million for Vagner Love, with the fee to be paid in installments over the next five years.

However, CSKA rejected that offer and are adamant that they will not accept anything less than €10.2m.

Flamengo declared that they wanted the transfer saga resolved one way or another by the end of Tuesday.

However, according to the report, no agreement has yet been reached, even though Flamengo allegedly offered to pay their proposed fee over three years instead of five.

It is also claimed that if his future is not sorted out in the coming days, Vagner Love, who must attend a court date with his ex-wife in Rio inside the next 16 days, will return to Moscow and ask CSKA president Yevgeny Giner in person to release him.
